EASA holds a range of information for the benefit of our service users

Every attempt is made to ensure that it is accurate and up to date.

Books are no more than two years old, or the latest published edition.

Occupational and Education information is updated at least once a year or is the latest information available. Local course information and job vacancy bulletins are updated as soon as new details become available.

Paper based information includes books, leaflets, prospectuses, handouts.

The range of information covers general careers, specific occupations, labour market job search, access to education, entry requirements and application processes. There is also detailed information on training, leisure, vocational, further and higher education courses locally and nationally. A small number of job vacancy bulletins are also held.

Posters and leaflets publicising events or new courses are laid out in the reception area for browsing.

All other material is held in a Careers Library Classification system and can be accessed on request.

Staff can give you leaflets, handouts and prospectuses to take away (depending on stock levels).

Alternatively they can give you copies of pages/sections that you request There is a desk available if you would like to read material and make notes yourself. There is no loan service, but some books may be available from the public library.

Computer based information includes occupational information and local and national learning opportunities. This includes the full range of higher education in universities and colleges and specialist courses that may only be offered in specific locations. There is also limited access to relevant Internet Websites, e.g. Learn direct .

Staff can assist you in accessing and using programs and sites and provide printouts as required.

If you request information that we do not hold, staff can either undertake research on your behalf or suggest other organisations that may be better placed to provide this information.

Every attempt will be made to provide information in appropriate formats, if you require large print, audio or translated material please ask a member of staff.
